Choir Descriptions

Dolce Choir is for children in 3 rd -5 th grades. It rehearses on Wednesday afternoons 4:30-6:00 in the choir room at St. John's Presbyterian Church, 1070 W. Plumb Lane , Reno . Their conductor, Kathleen Jacobi-Karna , completed the Bachelor of Music Education degree at Iowa State University and Master's and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Arizona . Bel Canto is a treble choir for youth in 6 th -8 th grades. They rehearse on Wednesday afternoons 4:30-6:00 in the sanctuary at St. John's Presbyterian Church, 1070 W. Plumb Lane , Reno . Their conductor, Sue Goodenow , completed the Bachelor of Science Education at the University of Iowa , and the Master of Music with a choral conducting emphasis from the University of Nevada , Reno . Sue conducts the Concert Choir and Women's Choir at UNR, three youth choirs and two adult choirs at St. John's Church , and is the accompanist for Bella Voce women's ensemble.

Vivace is an SATB choir for youth in grades 8-12, and for males with changed voices. They rehearse on Tuesday afternoons, 4:30-6:30, in the sanctuary at St. John's Presbyterian Church. Sue Goodenow conducts this choir.
