Volunteer OpportunitiesAs a not-for profit organization , SNCC depends on volunteers. Volunteer opportunities are numerous and diverse. Each family is asked to volunteer 10 hours per year to ensure that SNCC grows and prospers! There are opportunities to sign up to volunteer at the parent meeting during the first fall rehearsal. Also watch for opportunities to be posted in the SNCC newsletter and via email. Attendance Monitor Arrives 15 minutes early to all rehearsals and performances to take attendance. Remains in rehearsals to be of assistance to the conductor as needed. Wardrobe Manager Oversees sizing and ordering of uniforms. Attends each performance and performs a uniform check before each choir sings. Music Librarian Stamps and numbers all new music. Distributes music packets at the start of each semester. Collects, sorts, and puts away music at the end of each semester. Maintains an organized music library and database. Newsletter Assembles, prints, and distributes a monthly newsletter to all SNCC families (this may be done via email). Fundraising Chair Works closely with the treasurer of the board . Organizes and carries out fundraisers for the organization. Programs Works closely with both conductors to create programs for all performances. Types, researches, and arranges for printing of programs. Recruits volunteers to distribute programs at concerts. Tickets Chairperson Works closely with treasurer. Prints tickets, organizes distribution of tickets to choristers for pre-sales, collects money/tickets from choristers after pre-sales. Organizes ticket sales and ticket collection at all concerts. Operations Manager Works closely with both conductors. Plans for all special needs for concerts. These may include, but are not limited to; risers, music stands, reserved seating for choristers, parent helpers for each choir, lights, sound system, piano rental and tuning.
