SNNC, along with 2 other local choirs, will be competing at Interkultur's World Choir Games in Shaoxing, China, in July, 2010. The World Choir Games is an olympic style competition with more than 400 choirs from around the world. SNCC will be one of only 5 choirs from the USA! Part of our mission in attending the WCG is to promote a new event which will be in Reno in May, 2011. Since the WCG are only held every other year, Interkultur organizes several smaller competitions around the world during the off years. For the first time in 2011, two of those competitions will be held in the USA. The American International Choral Festival is expected to bring over 3000 singers to Reno!
In addition to the WCG competition and friendship concerts, SNCC will also perform at the Central Conservatory in Beijing, Zhejiang Concert Hall in Shangzhou, and the Shanghai Conservatory in Shaghai.
