What to Expect
Children wishing to join the choir this fall will need to audition either in person or by sending in a video (see instructions below). Auditions are simple and fun. They are designed to check for voice range and quality. Singers should prepare to sing any song of their choice (see suggestions below), and we'll walk them through the rest at their auditions!
Additionally, singers are required to participate in their school music programs. When you come to your audition or send in your video, we will give you a link to our registration form. We will ask for an email to send a recommendation form to your child's music teacher or administrator so they can confirm that your child is participating in an appropriate music program at their school. Paper and digital copies will also be available, if needed.

Audition to join us for the 2024-25 season!
Sign up below to audition in person on August 22nd or 23rd, 2024. Be ready to sing the song you have selected. Two singers will audition together in each time slot, so bring a friend or sibling to sing with you! Auditions will be held at St. John's Presbyterian Church in Reno (1070 W Plumb Ln).

Alternatively, you may send in a video for your child to audition. Record a video of your child singing a song of their choice, and have them introduce themselves with their name, grade, school, and why they want to sing with the Sierra Nevada Children's Choir.
